Default Cedar Allergies????

I was driving home from work today and I noticed this haze. It was CEDAR POLLEN
I have NEVER seen it this bad in all my life. I am attaching some photos that I took when I got home. Look at the hills in the background, you can usually see them clearly, it looks like it is raining. What you see is cedar pollen. It is headed south into San Antonio, so if you are allergic to it don't forget your meds.

I could tell when it blew through today. I'm in the UTSA area during the day, and the wind was whipping! I can feel my nose filling up in a matter of seconds, and then my throat feels like it's closing up. It's really bad this year. I have been using Cedar X, but I don't think it's going to get me all the way through.

Cool pics!

Some of that was dust from West Texas, but yeah i think the cedar count was around 17000 today. I was avoiding going outside all day.

Yea, it is seriously kicking my butt even on allergy meds....I drag in from work and am totally exhausted. I HATE this time of the year for this reason along...but manage to get thru it each year. With all the rain we had last summer, this year is worse than ever.

Oh well...

What is the dust from? The wind? I hadn't watched the news yesterday and I thought this was all cedar pollen. I saw this morning it was cedar and dust. All I know is that I have never seen anything quite like this.

Question question about cedar allergies

Does cedar cause any other problems besides sinus? Like headaches or stomach distress? We've not had much problems with cedar allergies, but this year all the kids are plagued with headaches (and I do mean all, even the 5 and 8 year olds). Think I should buy stock in Motrin! Today, all 5 school age kids are home with either a severe headache &/or stomach ache/cramps. They don't seem to be having the typical sinus problems, tho, so don't think it's drainage. Guess the stomach problems are unrelated, but sure came on at the same time as the headache, and the same time that the cedar has been kicking up. Weird.

Mrs. Bowie breaks out in hives when the cedar pollen count is high.

Do you have carbon monoxide detectors in your home? CO poisoning can cause flu-like symptoms and headache.
