I took in my vehicle to get serviced last week under warranty to cavender gmc right here on 281 and let's just say that I'm less thank thrilled with their service dept. I knew more about the options available on the vehicle and they didn't fix what I took it in for and they kept it for three days in top of that. So I'm wondering if anyone has any good experiences with either the other one or Gunn in Schertz.

even thiugh it would be a bit of a drive. I did consider them. It's a shame cuz this dealership is literally 1 minute from my house. I'm caught between making sure they know and making them do something about it or just moving on to somewhere where things will get done right.

Go to Tom Benson Chevrolet. They will honor GMC warranty, plus it's a good service dept.

I will second Ancira. 13yrs ago when I bought my Monte Carlo SS they were fantastic any time I needed something and 13yrs later with the wife's Camaro they remain solid any time she needs something.

Don't go to Gunn. They have given us the run-around a few times and tried to sell services we didn't really need.

So I fired off an email to the service manager who called me and wanted me to bring it back in. Offered a loaner at no cost so I'll give them one more shot.

We've bought a couple of vehicles from Cavender at 281 & 1604 and are happy with the service. For the most part we've gone there for routine maintenance (i.e., free or reduced cost oil changes) and one or two recall fixes on an Enclave (now traded in on a different GM vehicle) and my Yukon. I was just in there Monday for a broken door handle on the Yukon and they did a quick swap out in less than an hour. Granted there was a guy in there who apparently had had a problem or there was some issue as he and a couple of service reps were having a very intense discussion. Hate it but it happens with service departments from BMW to Lexus to GMC to whatever manufacturer.

Well I took it back and left it for a day. They called me and said it was ready. I went to pick it up and the knocking noise was still there. I turned right around and took a drive with the shop foreman and he heard it and admitted there was something loose but had the nerve to tell me that if I was driving with the radio off that it wasn't fair. Huh??? A loose rattling sound that was not there before and I'm just supposed to take it? It's under the cpo warranty and he basically told me that if they had to look further into it that "someone is going to have to pay for it". Unbelievable.

^^^^Oh no, no, no. Try the service department at Ken Batchelor. I drive an older Cadillac that I bought from them many years ago, and when I need to replace it I may not be able to afford another Caddy. I asked the Service Manager if I bought any other car could I still have them service it and was told as long as it is a GM vehicle. I love them and would not have my car serviced anywhere else.
