If I tell you, I'd have to kill you.

Once Culebra's expansion and the 1604-to-Alamo Ranch Parkway projects are complete, this should provide lots of relief.

While you're in some ways correct, there are still only really two ways into the community. (Disclosure--we close on our AR home in less than 3 weeks.)
Alamo Ranch Parkway - Access via 1604
Westwood Loop - Access via Culebra
Lone Star Parkway - Access via Culebra
Alamo Parkway - Access via Culebra
Roft Road - Access via Culebra
When Culebra is finally done, the situation will be much better. That road can be crazy in the afternoons. Yesterday, for example, the stoplight at Alamo Parkway (where the new Valero is) was flashing red (1560/Alamo Parkway direction) and yellow (Culebra direction). As you can imagine, traffic was messy with the lack of police direction...

I'm also hoping once 151 is done, going over 1604, there is a different way for the Wachovia people to get to work. I just think it is very bad design to put the entrance on the on-ramp from 1604 to 151.

My husband's office will be located basically at I-10 & 410. It was suggested by a local (and we've driven it) that he should get there by going south of downtown - so the plan is 1604 to 90 (which then becomes I-10) to 410 (his exit then, I think is the first one once he hits 410).
Anyone have any other suggestions?

I take it is the southeast 10/410, not the northwest 10/410 interchange. Down by Ackerman and WW White exits. I took 1604 to 90 about 2 times, and thought it was longer, even with traffic, than 151 to my exit (36th Street). I figure 151 to 90/10 would be a quicker hop.
I used to live on that side of town, but it always seemed like the traffic was steady everyday. Not like the 151, some days ok, some days, WTH is everyone slowing down for?
I think I've conformed and stopped fighting the slow drivers on 151 (tickets helped me too...) Now I take it easy and plan on getting back into the books on CD.

Yes, the 10/410 on S.E. side. The interchanges you mentioned sound familiar. Sorry - I'm not real familiar yet with the roadways. Hubby is great with a sense of direction and finds it easy to get familiar with a city. He will probably try a few routes til he finds one that works best for him.
You mentioned books on tape/cd (which he loves). Where we live now there's a store that rents them and has hundreds in inventory. The proprietor has him in a database and can keep him from renting the same thing twice. We've rented many many books there. Anyplace like that in the S.A. area?

I've never used it, but Cracker Barrel has them. and there's a Flying J right next to the SE 10/410 intersection on Foster/10.

And there's a cracker Barrel at 151/410 interchange. Those two would be on his way to/from work.

Went to the southern end of Alamo Parkway today. There was a large ditch digger just past the end of the road. Are they extending this road to Wiseman anytime soon?
