I'd say those are lower upper class than middle class. When I think "middle class" I think the Windcrest / Perrin Beitel area as well as the "north" west side near the 151/410 area. Those zips are 78239, 78217, 78218, 78238 (already mentioned), 78250, 78251 and 78245.

According to data published by Business Insider earlier this year, the middle class household income range for the San Antonio metro ranges from $34,650 (lower middle), to $103,432 (upper middle).

It's hard to tell someone else where it's "best" for them to live, since we have NO idea about your or your family.

For someone like me, a large lot (1/2 acre or more), close in to shopping (for wife). Kids all grown and gone, so schools aren't important. We're both retired (well, I'm "semi" retired ) so commute isn't of issue. And I really like larger front yards (we can park 3-4 cars on the street in front of our house vs the 1-car width so many have nowadays). We don't like large cities, etc - you get the idea.

You need to provide a LOT more info in order to get any really useful info - there are pockets of nice places to live all over SA.
