I think Popovich is coming unhinged. He has a crazed look in his eyes. I really think he needs to come to terms with the fact that his party lost. Drink some wine, enjoy your life in the Dominion, and just do your damn job.

I could not agree more.

Different perspectives I guess, I thought what he had to say was thoughtful and boiled down what a lot of us think of the guy in the White House.

Popovich's views seem to be a bit too liberal and outspoken for some of his fan base which probably irks them a bit. "Unhinged" is more what I personally think of POTUS.

I stayed home on election day 2016. I couldn't vote for either of the 2 offerings. (Yes I know about the write-ins and 3rd party options but we all know that's a waste of time) but good Lord we're coming up on a year and liberals just can't seem to do anything but further alienate people from their side. I'm not a liberal and so it's been interesting to watch the meltdowns and Pop is one of them just losing it before our very eyes. As I said, he should coach and go back to his home in the Dominion and maybe see a mental health expert once in a while. Couldn't hurt.

I think Pop is a great coach.

If I have a heart attack, need my brakes replaced or desire investing advice, I do not confer with him, nor do I care for his opinion on anything outside basketball.

Why can't Pop have an opinion? Because his job is a "game"? We see many other professions take well-publicized positions - this lawyer supports this politician, this company supports equality in marriage, etc. What is the difference?

He's not offering advice on something he is completely ignorant about - he graduated from the Air Force Academy with a degree in Soviet Studies after all. The man is well known for talking about history and politics with his players, and rather than being a distraction, they seem to respond positively to it. His team is successful, and I thought that "winning" was all that mattered for most people. For me, I respond to "character", so I would support Pop even if the Spurs were only winning 40 games a season.

He can have his opinion all he wants, the problem comes in when they(celebrities) think their opinion is more valid/important then any one elses.

He can have an opinion. Let the chips fall where they may.
