The gay scene is of course better in Houston and Dallas. San Antonio has a better gay scene than Austin for sure. It's a much bigger city so it has more gay people. The SAC, Monte Vista, Trinity area,Alamo Heights, Alta Vista has a high concentration of gays. The Medical Center area as well has a high population of gays.

Who are you calling misinformed? You may be gay but clearly you do not have a handle on what constitutes a better all-around better suited city for gays and lesbians.
As someone with a number of gay and lesbian friends, I can tell you the phenomenon is in fact opposite - gay people from San Antonio are going to Austin. Oilcan Harry's on Fourth Street was ranked as one of the 50 best gay clubs globally by a gay travel magazine, a distinction no gay establishments in San Antonio share.
Furthermore, Austin's gay community is interwoven into Austin's cultural fabric - according to my friends, being gay in Austin is a complete non-issue, whereas in San Antonio I would argue it generally is a non-issue if kept separate from the dominant "family-oriented" majority.
Lastly, I've never heard gays in Austin express any interest whatsoever in San Antonio - it's gay scene included. Trust me, the majority of Austinites look down on San Antonio as a backwards wasteland.

San Antonians can profess all they want how much better of a city San Antonio is than Austin in various regards, but the fact remains - Austin has a much larger, integrated, and accepted gay population, and conversely, more activities, nightlife, and events that cater directly to gays and lesbians.
I can not actually believe I'm reading this - as someone who has seen firsthand what Austin and San Antonio's offerings to gays, Austin hands down is the better alternative for someone gay.

So who has more credible in their take? An actual homosexual or some person who can tell the actual gay person they don't have a handle on what it's like being gay. Wow.

Like the way an openly gay woman was elected to city-council? How about that "Fire the McManus" campaign after he was Grand Marshall for the Gay Pride Parade, oh I forgot, that didn't happen and not a beep was made of it.

Last time I checked, the original poster couldn't care less about the sexualities of elected city officials - his questions specifically were in regards to the quality and extent of gay oriented activities.
Anyone with half a brain knows that it's Austin, and not San Antonio which dominates in this regard.
Trust me, I definitely don't enjoy people watching in San Antonio.

That was directed towards you not the original poster. I'm fairly confident you understood that.

So if your argument or claim holds no water your next step is to just cut the middle man out and insult people? With that obvious observation stated, anyone with half a brain would know that a gay person probably, no definitely, has a handle on the gay community of a particular city as opposed to a non-gay person.

Look, I'm not suggesting that San Antonio is backwards or homophobic. It's clearly not.
But from what I've seen, the friends I have, and the time I've been in Texas, it's Austin which attracts the largest and most diverse gay populations.

So to summarize, at one point six months ago you clearly believe San Antonio to be "backwards" but as of today you say it clearly isn't. It seems you aren't really sure of anything, huh?
