I've said it before and I'll say it again, until the car I drive allows for front mounting without drilling into the bumper, it ain't happening.

I usually dont have a problem with "it's the law, you have to follow it" but that is one of the dumbest laws on the books especially in a time when everyone is trying to save a buck. (imagine the savings only issuing one plate to each person)

It is the law and I realize I have to follow it. It's just dumb.

Front license plate aids in IDing a vehicle Say someone hits your car and backs away - you can get the plate number. Or a suspicious vehicle backed into a driveway. Same thing.

According to the link I posted earlier in the thread, the cost savings would amount to "cents" per issued plate. Then, you factor in the seven-year replacement cycle (in Texas, at least), and the cost savings is negligible.
