We will be moving in March2016 to Fort Sam Houston. Its just my husband and I, so we dont need good schools, but a safe area. We also have a dog, a German Shepherd mix, so taking that in consideration I was wondering if anybody could suggest a area to live in that is not too far to Fort Sam Houston. I hear a lot about the bad traffic, so I like to look some areas up as options. As we will only be there for a couple of years we are not planning to buy, but rentals in the Alamo Heights seems either really expensive or tiny. Our budget is around $1700/month and we need a place that excepts dogs. Any ideas on options on areas that a really safe and that have rentals? TIA
