Now I have to tell you a story. Back in the 1920's, my father's oldest brother was a wealthy Ford dealer in San Antonio. He owned the second Ford dealership. He invested in real estate (land and apartments). He owned 1500 acres out near Hwy 46, close to present day Canyon Lake. He got hit hard by the depression and was forced to sell the 1500 acres for $15 an acre. He got $22,500 for the land. In todays market that land would sell for upwards of $40,000 per acre. Here are some shabby homes built on his land.

Next weekend I will probably take pictures closer to Austin so I may not have photos in here for a couple of weeks. If anyone else has photos of towns around San Antonio feel free to post them. In the meantime I am going to add links to activities in the area. Things to do in your leisure.

Hello,

Thanks again gy2020.

A stressfull event happened yesterday (not going into details) after looking at all of these photos.

I almost quit right then.

The photos are great, but I need to stay focused to be able to work in these conditions.

Already today, I have found myself drifting and thinking of home.

The price we pay.

Thanks again,

crazedchef

p.s. I really enjoyed the videos of Mario, Dora, and John
