Not to rain on yer parade StealthRabbit but I went to Fredricksburg Wednesday just before lunch and the traffic on IH10 coming into SA was backed up from LP1604 all the way to the first Boerne exit. Most of it was moving slow but some was just stopped. No wrecks, just too much traffic and apparent confusion at the 1604 interchange. No wrecks from 1604 to 410 either. I came back via 46 to Pipe Creek to Rio Medina where I picked up 400 lbs of bird seed for the wife, then Castroville back to SA. I live out by Sea World. I'd hate to have to make that drive into SA on IH10. Gotta be hours long.

Yup, I have encoutered that with consruction on 1604 backin up for miles. Thus... When I was a commuter... In worked night shift.

Fortunately, I have been able to avoid traffic issues on my several times / month rush trips to SAT. In 6 yrs, Never over 1:10 hr from Kerrville. (70 miles from my home to SAT)

OP works from home IIRC., if not... And you have kids... Get a home that is biking distance to work.

Family time is fleetimg.
