We're even planning on taking our kids there for a "Back to School" treat. (5 kids, ages 6-17 ~ they are sushi fiends!!)
Hey thanks for the tip!

Have fun with your 'sushi fiends' and just make sure they leave some for the rest of us!

What I wouldn't do for a Todai here in San Antonio. Incredible selection.

No way. Unless you like the taste of drywall and paste, Costco sushi sucks in any quantity.

in terms of quality for the price, there are no options. the best in town however are Godai and Niki's. Niki's is very traditional so you might not like it. There is no cheap sushi in this city at all and don't eat sushi from any of the chinese buffet restaurants unless you want your stomach pumped. They don't buy quality fish or sell enough to keep in fresh.

I love going to Osaka (bandera/1604) the chef there is great and the sushi is awesome. I've frequented Samurai and Koi Kawa, and have to say that Osaka sushi is much better! Prices are average too.

I like HEB sushi too, though i know some people who never fail to tell me its not "real" sushi. So whatever it really is, it tastes good!

Smile Sushi Happy Hour

We always enjoy going to Goro's for the Sushi Happy Hour. I think it's from 5-8pm Mon-Fri.

Service is always a challenge, you can expect to wait a long time for your food, especially on Fri but we've never been disappointed with the quality or freshness.

Staff is very friendly and accomodating. I brought a recipe from Happy Sushi in San Diego for Garlic Edamame and they made it for me. It's a great appetizer, ask for it! Tell them Mr. Mario told you about it and if you like it, ask them to put it on the menu!

Chef Mike is co-owner.

Enjoy!

Mario
