A simple house rental shouldn't require the services of an attorney.

Common sense and reason SHOULD be used, though........wait - given the "protect me" mindset of many nowadays, yeah - some SHOULD use an attorney!

Even though nearly all properties for sale or rent are listed online these days, a lot of prospective buyers or renters just go through a real estate agent of their choice, who will assist them in locating a suitable property, and represent them in an eventual transaction. The seller or landlord pays the agent's commission, so using an agent is nothing out of the renter or buyer's pocket.

It was noted in the article that these scam artists clone legitimate websites and change the contacts over to their domain and also place false rentals.
