Can anybody recommend a good shoe cobbler? I have a nice pair of boots that need the sole reattached...

I went to a cobbler once to repair some dress shoes which part of the rubber sole had flapped down from underneath. He put like a small drop of glue to hold it in place. It lasted about a week. Could have done it better myself. I will never go back to another cobbler again.

Ozzy, you got a lousy cobbler - but to lump them ALL into the same pile is a disservice to those out there that ARE doing it right.

OP, I'm not sure where you're located, but there used to be one in that retail strip area right where Perrin Beitel and Nacogdoches meet up on the NE Side We moved to New Braunfels about 13 years ago, so I can't say for sure they're still there, but worth a look. They were right across the way from the appliance repair center. If you were in New Braunfels, I'd refer you to "Smiley's" on Business 35, about a half-mile north of Walnut on the left.
