The museums are great. personal fave is the McNay which is not downtown (but still close) but the San Antonio Musuem of Art is also wonderful. If she likes architecture, take a look at San Fernando Cathedral. The Sunken Gardens are also nice.

IMO, absolutely - but the place is legendary among many travelers and locals.

A GREAT place for breakfast or lunch is Schiloh's over off of Commerce, just about a block down from the Convention Center. It's been there since 1919 - they literally had to build a parking garage over/around it! It's an old German deli with a long tradition here in SA, and serves some of the best German food at a VERY reasonable price.
I love Schiloh's pea soup. I get pissed because every time it seems I'm in the area it is sunday or whatever and they are closed.

If you are not opposed to a "food comma", try Texas De Brazil downtown for dinner. OMG, the salad bar alone is to DIE FOR!!!!
