That's awesome news! The construction crews have done a really good job of moving things along. Last I heard, it wasn't supposed to open until Summer, and 151 in the Fall.

And they're starting the Culebra to Potranco segment very soon. Overpasses at Wiseman, Military and Potranco. The Potranco to Hwy 90 segment is scheduled to begin within the year also. Overpasses at Dove Canyon and Marbach. Connector also being built from 1604 South to Hwy 90 East. Can't be finished fast enough.

So it will be pointless to be happy with the opening of one section ,just to have the other section go under.you're still gonna have to fight traffic, just in another spot

Local/Govt entities are myopic and the situation has to be near out of control before they act. It's not like all these people just showed up one day....no foresightedness at all.

I live off the stretch of 1604 there and this is fantastic news.

I go to work down 1604, or 1604->151, or 1604->Culebra depending on where I am going that day.

Or, if I'm visiting somewhere else I'll go up 1604.

I hope they figure out the timing of the light at shaenfield and 1604. Coming from shaenfield on the inside of 1604 going under to take the left to get onto 1604 west, by the time you get to the turn land, the green arrow goes away and you have to wait and sometimes during heavy traffic, you have to wait another turn, the green arrow only stays lit for a few seconds and no matter how fast ya go, cant seem to make the turn agh

This is 100% true. The light on Shanefield needs to turn green within about 5 seconds of the access road light. It backs up the people turning left since it turns green so late after the 1604 access road light.
