I was driving behind a strip mall off Stone Oak Blvd. yesterday and noticed tagging on the back doors of the businesses.

It happens all over town...and sadly no area is immune.

Stone Oak has been most helpful and vigilant in removing it as soon as it pops up as has our subdivision within Stone Oak. I had never seen it until the past 6 weeks or so. I plan to ask our new city councilwomen tonight at the D9NA meeting if she can help getting that removed from the 281 signs. We'll see.

I posted this in the River Graffiti thread, but crews are actually on the sign right now taking care of it already.

I have never understood "way out here". Way to far out for who, if you worked around the north central part of Loop 410 it's not that far. I live between Loop 410 and 1604 and have never lived inside Loop 410. I know there are plenty of areas inside 410 that are nice. I had a conversation with a coworker who has always lived inside 410 and couldn't believe in my 30 plus years in SA since childhood that I have never lived inside the loop. My reply was believe it and there are thousands and thousands of people just like me all across the northside who have never lived inside 410. People live where they do for all kinds of different reasons schools, work, family, familiar with the area and don't want to leave etc etc.

Could a MOD change the title? I doubt anyone remembers the thread this thread's title was mocking so it comes off as sounding serious.

Some of the biggest drug dealers - live right next door. And no one knows it...The high school in Stone Oak - big time drugs run though the school like water in the river...My kids went there, told us all about it. You can go to school and buy what ever drug you want...So - Stone Oak, South side, west side. Any city and town is going to have drugs and the dealers. Rich or poor. It matters not...Sad, but true.

Article | Study: Suburban teens at risk

Quote:
The study from the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research found that alcohol, tobacco and illegal drug use and sex are just as common -- if not more common -- among suburban high school students as they are among city students.

Reminds me of the huge drug problem that existed in and around Plano, Tx among the high school students a few years ago mostly with Heroin.
