So when is this thing going to get started? We've been talking about it forever, and yet it hasn't even broken ground yet. I was really excited to see how this would turn out, being San Antonio's newest luxury residences. In typical San Antonio fashion, it's been a lot of talk and nothing to show for it.
I'll probably long gone before this thing is ever complete.

Crane? There's no crane this early in the process of construction for a high-rise.

Anyone have pictures of the project underway? The website for the project has floor plans. Pretty incredible.

There isn't much to see at the moment. They put up a wall and are doing work in what's going to be the basement and subbasements.

I'm not one hundred percent sure but I believe there will be underground parking which is what they're working on at the moment and that usually requires a lot of work before any construction crane is assembled.

Word from a friend of mine was that the cost of buying a unit was much more than first expected -- like 900 k for 1700 sq ft. Despite the high prices, demand appears to be strong. Instead of a top floor for two 3.5M penthouses, they are going to devote the top 2 floors for penthouses at that proposed prices. I have to think that people from outside of San Antonio are part of what is driving the price because that is so expensive for this market. But I am not complaining. I think having that many people with that much money in one place will lead to more development along Broadway and also serve as a magnet to get the River North Project completed all the way to Hildebrand sooner rather than later.

The closed gas station "Ken's" at Broadway and Hildebrand is being torn down. Anyone know what is going to go in it's place? Maybe a Kirspy Kreme or Taco Cabana? I didn't see any indication of what will be built in it's place. What's the poop?

What an EYESORE. That is going to RUIN the whole archtectural theme of the area.
