I have turbo and it's crazy fast. Sometimes I actually get over the 15 down and 2 up it's supposed to have. My only problem with the NG's was some of them were crazy big. sounds.mp3 often had over 2 million threads..

I've been looking at upgrading, but I don't know if I'd really get my $'s worth - I don't d/l that often. I did before, but now that I'm out of the tech biz I don't as much.

With Xnews it took forever to compile those threads! Especially if there was any worthy content!

Plan to attend the 14th Annual Communication & Information Systems Products & Services Expo tomorrow, Wednesday June 25th!

The show is hosted by the 37th Comm Squad and will be at Mitchell Hall from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

Refreshments will be served!!!

I went to the one last year and there's some nice toys there plus lots of freebies and plenty of refreshments.

I used to go to those all the time - but now that my business makes all the little trinkets and what not that they give away, I don't have a good reason to go anymore!!

I need a new badge holder with retractable string, but I don't go into work until 2:00 PM and it's over by then.

I was going to place this in the joke thread, but it's humor might be lost on the less tech savvy. Definitely some good geek humor though and we've been throwing it around quite a bit today while trying to figure out what's wrong with a switch.

Another geek post that isn't worth making a whole thread about..

I was at the AR Best Buy yesterday and came across a Hitachi Travelstar (2.5") 7K200 200Gb SATA on clearance for only $95.99. That's about $15-20 less than you can find online and has an added bonus of including cloning software and a 2.5" enclosure so you can take everything off the HD you're replacing. Not sure what the software is, but it says Hitachi on the disc. I've been wanting a faster HD for my laptop, but the 7K200 drives are still pretty expensive. Now I can double my space and add my old one to my wife's laptop so she'll have extra space for storage.
this is the drive: Hitachi Travelstar 7K200 | StorageReview.com

I cloned my drive last night but don't have enough time to test it out. The process only took about an hour and appears to have worked fine. The enclosure isn't the most high tech, but it gets the job done and all reviews on that drive are very positive. This should breathe new life into my almost two year old laptop.
