Already having trouble with my new TW HD digital cable! Had it installed yesterday and no signal tonight and they can't get here until Tuesday evening. Hell, I wanted to watch the Oscar's. Hopefully it will be repaired before the debate. I am not very technically oriented.

If you are only having problems with the digital cable, just bypass the cablebox and plug the coax right into the tv till the repair guy can get there.

What do you mean you are having problems with your Digital cable? Are all of the tv channels out or just the certain channels.. Coax is the cable that comes from the wall that plugs into the back of your cable box/television. If your convertor is not working properly.. unplug the coax cable from the wall that goes to your cable box and plug it straight into the television. That will get you the television.. you will just not get the digital channels ..

Thanks cwh and Man in SATx... I got the tv working with your advice! I still don't know what went wrong though. I turned the tv on and it had a picture of sorts for less than a minute and then just went black. I messed with both remotes trying to change the source or components without any luck... just a blue screen saying "no signal". I think it may have to do with the programming because the TW telephone help line guy said that I had cable running. I am totally lame when it comes to this stuff. Aren't the TW guys that install your cable supposed to activate your road runner? It took him 4 hrs to install the cable and it was 10pm by the time he left and he was in a hurry to get home to his wife so he did not give me very much instruction or activate my roadrunner... hopefully the guy coming out Tuesday can fix everything and give me a short tutorial. Thanks again!

Well, compared to you guys I did just okay but if you compare what we were paying before I did great and am happy...
$104/month for a HD receiver with DVR, high speed internet, digital phone (free long distance), and all the cable channels we have now but not HBO (don't really watch it now that Sex and the City is done).
We were paying $160/month for all that (but with HBO) for
Regular phone (no long distance) $28
TWC (no HD, no DVR) $81 plus tax
RR $45 plus tax
Good luck, hope someone else can get a reduced rate. Every little bit helps, especially nowadays.

It isn't a "package". The "Digi1000, 2000, 3000" is a generic designation. You have varying items with each. I simply asked if they would throw in premium channels, upgrade the internet, etc... and stay under $100.

Ah, the original quote didn't say Stars, Cinemax or sports. So no. But the rest yes. I do, however, have to state that my telephone deal is only for TX, not for the nationwide calling, which is fine as I don't call anyone outside the state

You still scored a good deal. Not bad for someone living near Shamu.
