Inventurous is on a distinguished road
After finding out that U-Verse wasn't yet available at my new home, I called TWC and told them I was "thinking about switching to U-Verse." I had to call twice to ensure that I'd squeezed the best possible deal out of them, and here is what I managed:

RR Turbo
1 DVR + 2 HD boxes
HBO
Showtime (free 1 yr)
Variety Channels (free 1 yr)
Sports Tier
HD Tier
Free Wireless Networking (basically, a Netgear router)

$118/mo w/2-yr contract

Not sure if it's a great deal, but I'm pretty happy considering what I was paying for less before.

Also, I insisted on TWC techs and not the contractors. Two guys came out, ran an entirely new cable to my house (which is only 3 yrs old) and spent 2.5 hrs upgrading things and making sure everything worked.

This is the second positive TW story i have heard today. I guess they have had to learn a lil customer service now that they have some good competition in town.

If they would have rewired my house I am sure it would have take care of the service problems I had with them as well.
