Nob Hill Apts. or any Apts?
I am finding it hard to pick an apartment without being there so thank you for all your help. I decided to stay away from the Medical Center. Can anyone give me info. on Callaghen St.? I am looking into Nob Hill Apts. and just want to make sure the area is ok and not in a busy location.
Can anyone suggest an apartment in SA? Thanks!

Taraaa17,
I'm not personally familiar with either of these apartments so I can't help you there...but I did find a website called called www.apartmentratings.com so maybe that can help you.
Do you want an apartment in that specific area of town?
I'm not sure what you consider "busy" but it does seem to be kind of busy, but I guess it is all relative.
You might want to check out Talavera apartments, people seem to like those, however its further away than those other two apartments you mentioned.
If I think of any other apartments i'll post back to you. I don't like in that area of town so it's hard for me to think of what is over there.

I really wouldn't go with apartmentratings.com just for the sheer fact that a majority of the "No"s given seem to be very petty.

I would stay away from Nob Hill--it's not the greatest when you drive by there at night. I lived in Windridge Apts on Babcock about 10 years ago, and they were decent then. Have you tried moveforfree.com? I've used them twice for in-town moves and have been very happy. Their website has a lot of details about the complexes--year built, sq footage, etc. You can't get a free move if you are not in town already, but once you get to town and need to move again, they are great! But you can definitely search their site now. Good luck!

Fountainhead is good. I almost moved there once. It's a huge complex with not the best views, but as of a year and a half ago it had the best square footage/dollar ratio of complexes in that area.

actually, i know a few people who were murdered in Nob Hill. They keep changing the name, i believe, because of that actually. not saying you will get murdered living there, i'm just always thinking it would be creepy to live in their apartment"/ ANYWAY, there are these nice apartment past Fredericksburg going North on Medical Dr. I don't remember their names but I used to live near there and they were nice. There are also some condos there.

Honestly I don't know anything personally about Nob Hill but I've heard nothing but bad things about it. I'd recommend the Lodge. It's between Babcock and Wurzbach on Medical Dr. I lived there for a while, and I can't really complain about it. The main drawbacks were the occasional loud neighbor. Our downstairs neighbors used to have yelling matches followed by their poor baby crying all night. They didn't stick around for long. But overall, maintenance took care of us and we felt safe there. I'd also recommend the Stratford, where my friend used to live. Their townhomes are nice and reasonably priced. I never heard any complaints from him, either.
