The front of our house has a brick fence w/ wooden gates. We're looking to replace the wooden gates with iron ones. In addition, we'll be taking down part of the brick and putting a double gate in bc the current gates are *so* skinny... a bobcat can't fit through to do our patio!

Any recs? I'm going to stop by Forge up on 281.... I'd love to find some more local places... I'm sure HD and Lowes have what I need but if I can go local, I'd rather.

ps- how do you post pics? I'd love to show you guys what I'm talking about and get more input.

There is a shop on the corner of Broadway and Casa Blanca, near the Pig Stand. They custom make gates and fences and may have some ready made stuff if it will work for you. Let us know what you find.

I think you can paste a picture right into the message window that you are typing in.
Looks like you can also click on the paperclip icon

Just to keep you in the loop (and for anyone searching in the future) I went with Forge- $599.95 for a 7 ft wide iron gate. Very simple design w/ "critter guard."
Forge Imports, Inc.

Thanks to all!

Buuuuuump.

I'm moving to a home with an existing single swing gate, but the gate currently has to be operated by hand. There's one of those electrical boxes with a keypad that I assume used to operate the gate, but that is not functional as well.

Can anyone recommend a good servicer that could come out to fix these for me? In addition to being able to open the gate via remote, I'd like to be able to 1. operate it via the keypad, and 2. be able to buzz in guests from my home as well (I can't see the gate from the house).
