Hey all

As usual, I could use some info. Some of ya'll know we just moved here a few weeks ago and so things are a little new to us. Just asked my daughter what she would like to do on her birthday (14th BD and next Saturday) and as usual she tells us "nothing, whatever"... Not like she's being mean, she really means whatever.

So, any suggestions aside from Waterworld and the Amusement park?

Thanks in advance

Next Saturday (March 1) happens to be opening day for SeaWorld. It's the 20th anniversary year, so they should have some fun things planned. We live just a short distance away and go there often. The water park will not be open, but the rides, shows and animal exhibits will be.

Has she made any friends at school yet? Maybe a good ice breaker and get to know party. Take her and a few girls to get their nails done.

DAVE AND BUSTER'S

That way you aren't bored out of your skull, either. Food's good, fun times!

Incredible Pizza Company on Blanco at West Avenue is similar to Dave and Buster's, but is more kid-oriented. IPC has fewer shoot-em-up games than Dave and Buster's, but it has indoor mini golf and indoor go-cart racing. D&B doesn't require ordering food to play the games, while at IPC, you have to purchase the pizza buffet to get admitted to the game area.

My daughter wanted to treat her friends to a manicure, then go out to eat (Olive Garden) and then to the movies. Sort of a 'girls day out' type adventure. They all loved it!

Magic Time Machine has been a fun place in the past, but I think the atmosphere is better than the food!

Are you looking for things to do with the familly or things for her to do with friends? That might help narrow the suggestions.

Have you already been to Corpus or another beach town? Just a couple of hours to drive - could be a day trip or a quick overnight.

Hey all

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions so far Looking for a family thing (another brother (13) and sister (16) plus mom, myself and our 2 month old). Was her choice and she would prefer to do something with us vs the folks she has met thus far...
