I get lime in my diet Coke. I refuse to think about it.

Seriously, if you get wigged by stuff like this you'll never go anywhere or do anything. Remember that thing about all the germs and all in hotel rooms? And on the seatbacks in theaters?

Linda I agree, in fact I think this has a lot to do with why people are getting more sick these days. We de-sensitize ourselves and when we do get ill, our immune system can't handle it. I remember growing up and being just like "Pig-Pen", not a care in the world. Now I see parents, cleaning their kids at every moment.

missed the theater one, but it doesn't surprise me.
Doesn't anyone wash their hands any more!

Yeah. I don't think I wore shoes all summer long. We stomped barefoot through puddles and mudholes. And honestly? I never got sick then, and I never get sick now. If I call in sick at work, it's because I just feel like staying home and reading a book, not because I'm really sick!

I admit that the theater seatback thing squicks me out. I'm always FREEZING in the moviehouse, so I just wear a hoodie and pull the hood up if I want to lean my head back. I do the same if I have to fly and the plane doesn't have "leather" seats.

If you look this up on snoops.com they say that there is more to this than the big scary story going around in emails. I dont remember the details but I had to look it up since I always get water w/ lemon when I go out to eat.

Thanks for the tip, mamatotex97. I have shared this article with the members of my family who chew the lemons from their drinks.

Two things came to mind while I was reading that article:

How dirty are the forks at Hooters if that's the tool they're using to add their vile lemons to drinks?

Are these restaurants washing their lemons? Considering that the lemon peel touches the drink, it should be a requirement to wash the lemons before serving them.

I LOVE lemons. I even ask for extra and I have never been sick because of it. So...sucks to have the germs, but now I know to be a little more careful.

I wonder too if they wash them. It's not just the person/waiter who serves you the drink but someone had to cut those lemons. There wasn't any mention of that aspect.
