First off, topic drift....let me say that I just spoke with my parents down there in SA..they said it was a beautiful evening and was like 66. I'm up here in Denton County, suburbs of DFW, and it's 33 and just finished snowing again...a light dusting but 1-2 inches could fall again by morning! I'm shocked at what a difference in temps and weather today and tomorrow. Okay, back to the topic at hand...
Willsatx, I have a ton of old San Antonio pics and memorabilia. I've actually thought about somehow scanning some of them, as I did the Wonderland post card, and putting them online. I have old tourism magazines from the 40s that are chock full of old pictures of San Antonio attractions. I also have another tourism book from around 1900 with many old pictures and advertisements of long gone businesses in the city. It's called "Souvenir of the Picturesque Alamo City-San Antonio, Texas" and it's quite interesting. The front and back cover are a big ragged but all in all, it's in good shape.
I also have another smallish book presented by Our Lady of the Lake College called "Souvenir of the Missions." There's an "aeroplane" view of the campus included with pics of the missions and there isn't a thing around OLLC!
I have too many other things to even list here. I also have a 1930s copy of the old Texas History Movies that they used to give out to school kids to learn Texas History. It's so racist and wouldn't be allowed today. I received many of these items back in the late 80s after college. I lived with an old friend in a home near Woodlawn Lake off Fredericksburg Rd and near Jefferson High School. I helped my friend do some remodeling on his great aunt's house there that she and her spinster sisters had lived in since 1929 when it was newly built. Needless to say, I loved listening to his great aunt tell me stories of how San Antonio used to be in the early 20th Century. She was born in 1896 and always lived in SA so she was a wealth of information. She knew I loved talking to her and so she started giving me old things she had saved through the years (the woman never threw anything away including canned goods in her pantry from the 30s/40s and old Simplicity dress patterns from the 40's and 50's...I'm serious...anyway, she gave me old photo albums from WWI of she and her friends dressed up at Brackenridge Park in their old Model T cars. I have an old high school yearbook from 1914 of either hers or her sister who had died years before. She gave me her year book from her college days at SWTSU in San Marcos but I believe it went by a different name back then. All in great condition as I've tried to take care of them over the years. Just lots and lots of stuff like that. Sorry to be so windy, but I will scan some of the old pics and photos sometime and post them on here if anyone cares to see some of it.

Awseome, yeah I am in my mid 30's and still remember many things in San Antonio. It's always great to see old pictures, and your postcard of handy andy is great.

As a teenager there was nothing like waking up early Saturday morning and heading to Windsor! I used to love it! Good times!

Decided to give ya'll a little more, honestly Windsor on the inside looked better than North Star or Rolling Oaks. To bad they didn't do any exterior remodeling like they did on Ingram Park.
Outside Montgomery Wards..

On the second floor between Dillard's on the left and JC Penney directly behind
The Food Court was once Joske's department store on the upper level and the lower level was made into Dillard's Home Store

The great looking fountain court after the Late 80's renovation

Here's Hondo's MySpace profile: www.myspace.com/heyhondo - Maybe he knows those Worst Show characters? I'm sure they'd be more than happy to send out some videos to someone who actually remembers them They got into some pretty serious trouble, as I recall, in their bomb-making instruction episode (although it WAS a pretty lame "bomb.") I believe they were actually guests on Montel Williams once after that big debacle.
