Fargo's was on the corner of Wurzbach and Evers. And I believe they had another location near Brookhollow off 281N. There might have been another location somewhere else too.

And the area near Bandera Bowl...I'm not so sure what all has been located there. I always remember the Drug Emporium because I went in there so much.

Thanks for the update on GW Jr's. I knew they were owned by Church's but I wasn't sure of the date that they finally closed.

There was a Record Hole at Babcock and Callaghan. I think there was a third location somewhere. Sound Warehouse did them in.

Handy Andy had the S&H Green Stamps, but can you remember the stamps that HEB had? Texas Gold!

Fedmart is where Academy is today on Vance Jackson and 410.

And who can forget Lone Star Ice Houses. They were everywhere, even in Helotes. Who bought them out? Stop and Go?

Where was the Nighthawk more specifically? I can remember the sign, but for some reason I remember the location of the one in Austin better than the one on San Pedro. Was it outside the loop?

I REMEMBER ONE IN FRONT OF SOUTHPARK MALL

I THINK IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A GLOBE OR WOOLCO?

I am doing a lot of research to some other questions.

Default Ben Franklins

There was a Ben Franklin's at Babcock and Hillcrest 40 years ago. Also in the same plaza was the Hillcrest Drug Store, a small German Bakery and a grocery store called the Model Market. On the adjacent corner was a Sinclair Gas Station and behind it was a miniature golf course.

Does anyone remember a Dairy Queen near Hillcrest and Babcock? Where exactly was it, I mean, what is there now.

Was it near the license branch? Or was it bulldozed to make way for the license branch? I can't remember. I think it was next to the license branch and then became a variety of things like a taco stand, cleaners, etc.
