gw jrs was open at least thru 1983.

There were Frontier's on Goliad rd. and Broadway. Bun n Barrel on Austin hwy. G.W,'s didn't last long it was a little experiment by Church's . The guacamole borgers were good. Remember the little Silver Dollar burgers?

mexiteria and the bean pot! now there are some memories. mexiteria was right by mrs schneiders bakery.

and the la fiesta on austin hiway and then pat booker road. la fiesta took possession of the coveted mayan altar deal for a long time.

good 'healthy' mexican food. it was still open as of a decade ago.

shakeys was just down the road from the old 'tee pee' rest and kims frontier burger.

and across the street from the sheraton hotel and the par 3 gold course.

also dan cook's 'time out' was out thatta way. A place I had forgotten about until I read one of the many columns posted after his death.
