You guys never heard of Maury Maverick Fong? The neon flags on the ceiling are a San Antonio treasure.
What was the name of the Mexican restaurant on Broadway that had a lot of the Aztec Theatre Aztec artifacts? It was owned by artist, Alberto Mijangos, former cultural attache at the Mexican Consulate, and San Antonio Artist of the Year. Was it "Mijango's"?

The "Mexiteria" Maury Maverick was mayor back late 20' early 30's. He is responsible for the term "Maverick"
I remember Naples.

I remember Peoples on Blanco and 410. They had this great salad bar or something like that. What I remember was that there was chocolate mousse at the buffet (or salad bar). I think there was another location, but I can't remember where.
I also remember Tin Bucket. They had blue Margaritas.
I think I remember the Gambler. Was it near the Tin Bucket?

It's pretty quiet. My boys are in town from Valencia. We used to look out our kitchen window at the Trail's Marquee or front of the screen. We lived across Military drive from it. They completely redid the neon and stuff for a nationwide Lincoln Mercury Commercial. Then a few days later I looked out the window and it was gone. Sad.
