New to SA by one year almost. Although I've met people, I've still not met anyone that I connected with enough to date. Can anyone recommend networking events around town. I don't get out as much as I should, but I'm it seems like there is no time like the present to get started. Where are all the brothas???!!! M.I.A.

Percentage-wise, San Antonio doesn't have a large black population in relation to the state and national averages. Most black people in San Antonio live on the NE, east, and pockets of the far west sides. Even if you can locate black men, they will be dating white and Hispanic women at a much higher rate than black women date white and Hispanic men. That means that there are a lot more available black women than black men. If you want to increase your chances of finding a man, you either need to open yourself up to other races or move.

There are a few young professionals groups in the downtown area. They're networking groups, useful for meeting people of all types. You'll need to do some google (or Facebook) searching.

Plenty of black guys at the Randolph AFB, Ft Sam, and Lackland AFB clubs. Just gotta know someone to sponsor you in.

Jeez just because someone has a preference for what they find attractive means NOTHING. This will NEVER change so why push it other than to try and guilt people for liking what they like?

Why? Because they could possible be missing out on the man of their dreams, simply because they wouldn't give him a chance. Maybe he IS ugly...I don't know that.
