I ask only because my family has a major financial interest in this project and they have chosen not to fill me in on what is REALLY going on. I will be visiting our property in the very near future and am very concerned to say the least

What sort of "interest" does your family have? If it's in the HollyHills portion (south of Briggs Ranch Road, around the Golf Club of Texas), then you should be concerned.

If it's the north section (around the Fazio course), I wouldn't worry.

Briggs Ranch is beautiful. That golf course is amazing. Hope things work out for them. Seem to be doing the right things.

Default Briggs Ranch

If you're referring to the vacation package deals, apartments and a waterpark, well there's a class action lawsuit pending there in San Antonio going on, b/c the project was never finished or really got started. Hope this is what information you needed.

I don't think it's a scam, but if you buy there, you better plan on staying there. I think the price range is unrealistic. People with that kind of money are not going to want to live southwest of San Antonio. The developer better have some really, really deep pockets. I don't think you can compare the high end areas northwest of San Antonio like the Dominion, Anaqua Springs,Terra Mont, etc. to the southwest or westside of San Antonio.

Default Briggs Ranch Vacation

There is a Briggs Ranch Estate out there and they have beautiful homes, but right across the road was a project going on for vacation apartments/condos with a waterpark and golf course; that's what I'm referring to that the project was never completed.

HollyHills (the developer) was also responsible for "Eastside Vision" which never got off the ground.

Holly Hills Group

Hilton also planned a resort and golf course designed by Tiger Woods in the area.

The class action lawsuit against HollyHills is still ongoing as far as I know.
