Does anyone know what is going in the new strip center at 281 and Evans - behind the walgreens and whataburger?

I know at one time it was going to have a spectrum fitness club. I heard somewhere (maybe here) that that plan was scrapped because of the success of lifetime.

As the HEB project ramps up - I notice that this one is now moving too. So - those in the know - what is going in here?

Spectrum is going there for sure..they have their name on the sign. As for what else...who knows?

There are pictures of what the new Spectrum will look like at the Spectrum at Universal City, so it's a sure thing at this point...it's going in...what will be next to it? No telling...another dry cleaners perhaps?

Here's a major confirmation on the Spectrum's at Evans and 281.

Spectrum liked their concept and collaborated with them to introduce it to three other clubs in Los Angeles. The Rogers Ranch location is San Antonio's first, but the Café Vida partners are excited over the anticipated opening this fall of a Spectrum club at Evans Road and U.S. Highway 281 North.

"They're building a restaurant for us in the new club," Marolla said. "All these other places were built for someone else. This will be built for our specifications."

The café at Spectrum's Rogers Ranch site is barely 1,000 square feet, but the Evans Road site will be closer to 2,800 square feet, Marolla said.
