As for me, I always say “wa-ka-mo le” soft e. and it kills me when people say they are going “tub’n” down the “GWA da loop” when it really should be pronounced “wad a lu pe” soft e. I think with the river, it’s one of those only in San Antonio things.

I once ordered an avocado burger at a restaurant and it came without the avocado. When I asked the waitress about it, she said, "oh! I forgot it." She left, and then came back with 3 little packages of guacamole that I was supposed to squirt on the burger.
Back on topic, lol, I have always said it as gwok-a-molee. But then, I grew up in Las Vegas...

Well, the Drag in Austin is pronounced "GWA da loop" too. And seeing how they pronounce Manchaca as "MAN shack" kills me!

I've heard "GWA da loop" in Austin, too. But, please tell me you're kidding with the "MAN shack!"
