Poor thing (or maybe good thing) she slept right through it.
My husband and I were just talking about something like this happening the other night and we talked about a way to avoid it is for me to carry the opener remote and for him to use the keypads for garages.
Glad your neighbor was ok through the ordeal in her home.

Some thieves could care less how old the car is. I had a friend that owned a 1988 Toyota MRR2 that was not in the greatest of conditions. A few years ago he had a 10 year old aftermarket stereo stolen and then a month later had the old stock stereo stolen. Both at his apartment by I'm guessing the same person.

My last car was broken in the same night as about 5 cars at my old apartment. Interesting thing was none of the windows were broke. They were scratched like a slim jim was used. All the cars were either Cavaliers or Sunfires, sister cars. This thief knew the locking mechanism and left the other cars alone.
