210-839-1927. Lets phone ring only 3 times, no message, multiple calls in one day, been going on for weeks, I answered once and got a dead line, I called several times, always a busy signal, called today on my little emergency only cell phone and got a recorded message that it is not a working number and "they" had just called my home line (actually a cell that is not a mobile phone).

Anyone else seeing this number in their caller ID?

It's a telemarketer using a real number so the caller ID or call blocker will not recognize it and let it through. Ignore it.

Got one the other day as well. I blocked it. Also, there's an app for ATT wireless customers called Call protect...it intercepts known spam calls, and flags suspected telemarketing calls.

If you ever get a call from a number you dont recognize, google the number.

The 800notes URL pobre posted above was the first result.

Android has that feature built in to its phone app. When I get a call from a known spam number, the screens turn red and it reads "Suspected spam caller"

Nomorobo can help on landline calls and you can at least block a number or a certain caller ID name. Where it can't help is when the telemarketers keep spoofing different local numbers and so they get around the number you just blocked.

Never call one of those numbers back. They can originate from overseas and back charge you. I use TruCaller on my iPhone. Same feature as that Android

Most of my junk calls lately (on my cell phone) have been numbers with the same exchange (the first 3 numbers) as mine. Same for my daughter's phone. For example, if your number were (210) 123-4567, you'd get calls that have the same (210) 123-xxxx format.
