I hear ya! Sometimes God leads us where he wants us with thing that occur and "impact" us even when we are not directly involved...

Have to say, I agree with your assessment whole heartedly! Good luck in your home/job search in the Big D!!! Don't forget, SA is a GREAT place to visit when ya live that close!

Dallas or Houston would be better choices for dating. I've known 4 black women who were travel nurses and none of them have stayed here in San Antonio after completing their contracts. They were all very attractive women and were not obese or even "chubby". I remember that one of them moved to Houston, fell in love, and got married within 2 years. I've also known another travel nurse who moved to Houston and then Dallas. She has no plans of returning to San Antonio. I spent 10 days in Rome, Italy and got more adoration and attention from the men over there than what I've experienced in the last 5 years here in San Antonio. So, it's your choice but I'm another black woman who wholeheartedly agrees with L210 that the dating scene for black women in San Antonio is pretty dismal...especially if you're educated, relatively still young, and are trying to maintain your standards.
