Lets try this again...

Hello all, this is my first time posting so please go easy on me!

I saw this listed in the SABizjournal and thought you all might be able to give some feedback about this restaurant. I've seen their commercials but have never visited. What do you think?

Thanks! [MOD CUT]

A former colleague from La Quinta (way back when it was HQ'd in SA) is now VP of Marketing at Ruby Tuesday. Ruby Tuesday claims to be fresher than Chili's or Bennigans, but I'm not sure I get how it's different...seems like the same type of food and price point.

All of these places seem to be the same to me.. I am not a fan of any of them.. Chili's Bennigans and the others .. they all seem to have bland food. The only thing that I get out of them is a beer or two and that is about it. The food is okay .. but not something I would go out for .. time and again. I would rather stay home and make my own food.

I have eaten a Ruby Tuesdays before (several times) and I have never been terribly impressed. They do have a decent salad bar but the burgers that they claim are so good don't really do it for me. Maybe someone else has had a different experience?

I guess it'll serve well as another option. I've eaten there just to change things up a bit but have never been impressed enough to say that it was ever my first (or second) option when asked where to eat. Some of my friends love it though. Food is okay; I would say like an applebee's with a salad bar.
I guess its about time, we are one of the last states to have a RT. There are even RT in Kuwait, Honduras, Trinidad, Iceland, Romania, Greece and 9 in Chile.

I've eaten there once and I enjoyed the food. I had the grilled chicken burger and it was pretty good.

The salad bar was pretty good as well.

We used to go to them when we lived in Illinois, but I'm going to agree with everyone else here in that it's pretty much the same as Friday's/Bennigan's/Applebee's...the only difference is the salad bar, but if you ask me, we've already got enough chains like that in town. Give me something unique to San Antonio that isn't TexMex or BBQ and I'll go (and put it on the NW side, please).

There is a new steakhouse opening on the NW side so you'll have to try it. Look in the Potranco thread, I think all the info is there.
