it turns out that Julian's has, in fact, MOVED...

Sounds more like Julian's is in the former location of West Ave. Kitchen, which was Magnolia before that.

I drove by the Boccone's location today and it still has large "For Lease" signs on the windows.

This is the gist of it:

•While a retailer is delinquent NO sales or deliveries may be made to that retailer on or after the effective date of the list, even if the order was taken prior to the effective date. The retailer's buying privileges may resume only when all delinquencies are paid and the TABC's records are cleared.

When you buy alcohol wholesale, on a net due basis, everything you buy from the 1st to the 15th of the month has to be paid for in full by the 25th. Everything you buy from the 16th to the end of the month is due on the 10th. If you don't pay by then, the distibutor reports to the state and no one is allowed to sell you anything until you pay up. It doesn't necessarily mean a place is broke or closing, they just are late on their bills.

O.K. checked on the BBQ Bucket on Austin Hwy status. There is a notice from a landlord that the locks are changed due to non payment of the rent. Some equipment still there, but tenant is evicted and gone. Hopefully somebody will open a food place again. This little shopping strip doesn't have any.

Wonder about the Mi Rak Won Korean Restaurant on Austin Hwy... is their food good? I noticed that this place is open very, very late.
