Carl's Junior isn't too far away, unless you live in Stone Oak or that area. I've ate their several times and it's not bad, but doesn't seem to have the same quality as the ones in California did. It's also open 24 hours/day, but the middle of the night crew last time was pretty bad..
There is also a Shoney's and I've gone there quite a few times also. It's a real one and I wish there were more. Their breakfast buffet on the weekend is So good, but that is a drive for me. It's worth it though.. I was actually wanting to go there yesterday for breakfast because I was really hungry for some reason, but I was the only one that wanted to go..
BTW, I believe there is also going to be a Red Robin by the old Albertsons on Potranco. It should be one of those new things they're building off the 151 access road.

Really it's not compared to where they're building the others and if you're living anywhere on the northwest side.

Y'all knock yourselves out getting to the Carl's Jr. It's not worth that much of a drive, IMO. If I'm driving that far for a burger, it's to Chris Madrid's.

It's here: love's truck stop loc: San Antonio, TX - Google Maps
Probably not the best drive from where we live, but not bad at all from where I work. I just hop on 410 from Medina Base Rd. and it's right down by 35. They're pretty freaking good burgers too.
Plus you can get two straw hats for $10 http://www.loves.com/Portals/0/docs/StoreFliers/Flyer1.pdf (broken link) woohoo

I don't know if anyone has heard of Lenny's Subs (I haven't), but I saw a sign yesterday that they are now hiring, so I would assume it is opening soon. It is at 1604 and Bitters.

We're getting a Lenny's also, at Culebra and 1604--I don't think it's anywhere near ready to open, though. I've heard mixed reviews on them--guess I need to try it and make up my own mind.

If you want to try Lenny's before that location opens, there's one at 410 and Blanco in the same shopping center as Demo's.

I tried it a few weeks ago. It was OK... nothing special.

J. Anthony's Seafood Cafe update. Building painted, doors re-signed and Sysco truck backed up to back door. Painting inside now, probably another week or two...Also they're in the process of gutting the old EZ's on Bandera inside the loop for Goomba's.
