Is that what happened to them? I remember a few months back my friend & I decided to take the kids out to lunch and drove all the way up there to be greeted by an empty parking lot and building with a sign. Ah well!
BTW, I saw a small post in this thread about Giuseppe's off of Hausman/1604. Has anyone eaten there yet? I checked out there website and menu looks good, but I want to know if the food is good. Also, what about Cafe Milan (Milano?) off of Bandera. Has anyone eaten there. Back home the great Italian restaurants were the little family owned places. I miss those!

I've heard that particular Guiseppe's is good, but the Guiseppe's I ate at years ago was up near Perrin Beitel/Nacogdoches area, and I think it has since closed. No clue if they are related. Cafe Milano is actually pretty good. They have nice lunch specials, and their bread/dipping sauce is tasty. It's cute/quaint inside--nothing fancy but it works.
Have you tried Lorenzo's in the Med Center? It's been a while, but they were good both times I went. Medical and Fredericksburg, in the strip behind the tiny Whataburger.

I noticed a RUBY TUESDAY sign posted at Alamo Ranch shopping site and I see construction has started on LOGANS's (same location).

Dammit! We've been longing for another Logan's on the NE side somewhere for years! It seems like everything is going elsewhere (especially on the NW side) Where is Alamo Ranch by the way? Just seems like over here out by the Forum/live oak, things have ceased or are not getting built up like they once were back when. There's a lot of stuff that we could still use out here like the two restaurants mentioned above.

FYI I was out and about today and saw "Cheddars". Sign was up and exterior of building looks done. (I saw it off of 410 just before the Culebra exit, in between Academy and the Sears ship).

I know it doesn't really count as a restaurant, but I noticed a "Coming Soon: Red Mango" sign at the Quarry today. Right now its still bare on the inside. Any idea of when they're planning on opening?

Hopefully, soon - I saw them working on it today. I love that new-style frozen yogurt, and Orange Cup is just too far to drive.

When I lived over there I was actually glad they slowed down the growth. I think it is pretty close to perfect the way it is now.

The business and population growth in the west/northwest side are just exploding. Soon it will be an even bigger hassle to get anywhere on this side of town what with the city being at least 10 years behind on road development. Just look at the Braun Rd./1604 area.
