He's probably keeping busy with his wife's spa at 1604 and Huebner. It just opened a few weeks ago. His day job might be taking a fair amount of his free time right now, too.

We drove by it today and it still looks like it's under construction. "now hiring" signs up though.
I also noticed a small sign in the med center saying that Jimmy John's was now open on Louis Pastuer. About time we got another one in town!

I've eaten at Jimmy John's--last summer in Lexington, KY. They are really good.

I don't get it. I was pretty underwhelmed when I checked out the new Jimmy Johns on Austin Hwy. Kinda like Potbelly sandwiches (also out of Chicago) - basic, ok food but nothing special.

And on Louis Pasteur there's a much better sandwich shop - Sandwich de Paris.
I stopped in the Jimmy John's when it opened, and was underwhelmed. I'll stick with Sandwich de Paris.

My DH and I both love Jimmy John's, but my father was nonplussed when he tried it - couldn't understand why we like it so much. I know one reason we enjoy it is the bread - it's not the mushy, bland bread like at Subway (I know they have all of the "special" breads now, but they still seem a bit less than special) or similar places. I think it also depends on what you order, plus the prices are reasonable. My husband and I have our favorites (me-Vito; him-the one that's like the Vito but has double of everything) and we do not veer from them.
We have only been to the one on Austin Highway and it is much smaller than others we frequented where we lived previously. They are usually small (and ALWAYS packed), but this one seems smaller still.
Have never of Sandwich de Paris - we may have to try that.
