Should have the Hearthstone Bakery (similar to a panera bread also located in the Forum) shaking in their boots.
I would love a Panera there! Do not enjoy Hearthstone at all. I don't care for the desserts at Panera much, but do like the sandwiches and the bagels (and yes, I know they are not "authentic" bagels - love those, too, but the ones at Panera are really just more like bread... and I love the Cinnamon Crunch ones).

wow, I ate many a meal at the St. Charles St location in my youth. I'm fairly certain I won't like the food now, but I will trek out to BFE for the sake of nostalgia when it opens...

if we could only get a Houston's near downtown...

Restaurants I want back or would like to see in San Antonio:
Fazoli's
Boston Market
Qdoba Mexican Grill
Spicy Pickle
Does anyone know if the Spicy Pickle is still gonna open location?

Fazoli's and Boston Market tried it here and moved on.

Doesn't mean they wouldn't come back. It's been done before.

There are SO SO SO many better, local, places already here. I'm glad they died! No more chains, thank you.

Often, restaurant falures are not due to the retaurant itself, but rather to the owner's (financial or other) issues...

It did taste like canned food. The employees walking around got stingy with the endless breadsticks, too. Much like Olive Garden hehehe...
