Not the greatest food, I know, but when you're hungry, it's late, and you have a couple bucks on you it fit the bill.

Between the Jack-In-The-Box that opened a few years ago at 410 & Starcrest, and the recent reconstruction/widening of Nacogdoches just North of 410, it was probably enough to do that old location in. That JITB dated back to at least the early 1970s.

Not to mention the new median they put in. Those things are horrible. Who ever thought of that apparently has never owned a business that relies on 1/2 of the traffic not having to do a u-turn to get into your parking lot

The shopping center at Harry Wurzbach/Rittiman is shaping into quite a hotbed of eating out choices! KIN TRAN recently moved into a great remodeled space, and the new SEOUL MARKET location also features a kitchen and dining area. TACO KITCHEN is still there, and new permanent signs for the coming LONESTAR CAFE and a somewhat upscale Mexican restaurant/grill are now up. Plus, there is a new BBQ place opening soon across the street!

Another new place across the street is CAZADORES Mexican, I stopped in for tacos today. They were good sized, tortillas were thin and fresh, eggs were fluffy and moist. They have a 3 of a kind special for 2.50!

The lunch/dinner menu has all the standard stuff, plus many seafood items inckluding plates and cocktails. I don't know if they are always availible, but more unusal offerings included lobster, octopus, gar and sheephead!

The place is roomy and looks very nice. I'm sure I will be trying more items here

Has anyone mentioned that Freebird's opened in Stone Ridge Market at Evans/281? Y'all come on out now that the SuperStreet has really decreased traffic in the area.

I hope that does not mean the entire company is in trouble...

Boy I hope not. I need some of their rosemary chicken with the black beans/rice and focaccia bread the next time I am down there. The 1604 location is no longer at their website. I'll ask a friend who's son bussed tables this summer at the Sunset Ridge EZ's and see what he knows.

Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse. The should be built and opened simultaneously. They will be accessed from Stone Oak Parkway, not 281.
