The food was uneven in their early going. However, my last meal there was very good and I was looking forward to going back. I didn't rush back because their prices were about $5-7 too high for entrees and a couple too high on apps. They were within a dollar of what I expect to pay in NYC or San Fran and that doesnt translate well to SA.

The lack of a great wine list & high corkage wasn't necessarily appealing either.

Sad, but not unexpected. I didn't like the dining room, as it was incredibly small and everyone seemed to share everyone else's conversation because of it. I agree that the food was hit or miss and overpriced for not only the neighborhood, but for San Antonio.

I just hate seeing another empty space on South Alamo. I hope for two new eateries to fill in China Latina's space, as well as, now, Oloroso's spot.

Holy Cow. China Latina is gone? I didn't care for it (it always smelled funny in there to me, and the AC was always broken), but it was nice to see restaurants in Southtown.

China's been gone for months: They were shut-down when the health inspector found a family of live cats living in the kitchen.

No, I'm not kidding.

Just saw the sign today for a new Bush's Chicken opening up on Bandera road at Eckhert.....next door to the Valero. Never tried it, but it can't be as good as mine!

And sadly, the taqueria will be there to stay and always busy.
