KSAT reported the other day that Krystal was pulling completely out San Antonio (for the 2nd time).

Yep...Tuesday afternoon they were removing ALL the equipment from the store and loading it in a truck and boarding it up. Don't think they are coming back. I know the food wasn't the greatest, but it reminded me of home and I ALWAYS got great service at that location. Boo!!!

Anybody know anything?

It's on the Southbound side of 1604 just south of Shanefield. I am curious how it will be.

I can't find any confirmation of that online. The only local news story on Krystal I can find from this month is an announcement that local Krystal locations are adding wings to the menu.

I saw the same story on KSAT. They had a quote from the company saying that the current economy is what caused the demise of Krystal's here in S.A.

Most corporations will not put out press releases when they close locations. Like I said earlier, they were removing ALL the equipment from the store, so I wouldn't expect them back anytime soon.

Just saw a sign on the former Jack-In-The-Box at Nacogdoches & Blossom (just outside 410) that says "Taqueria Vallarta coming soon".

This really stinks, and is very surprising.

They have just cleared a bunch of trees at Stone Oak Pkwy and 281 on the corner next to the Chase Bank Call Center (opposite 281 from TPC/Target/Chilis). Anyone know what restaurants they are building? I've heard there are two restraunts to be built on the corner.
