looks like golden wok @ 410&marbach is moving cross the street (410) out of that grubby strip mall into their own building. i love both locations, but i'm crossing my fingers the new marbach location has the stir fry option that the wurzbach one has.

I've past by it a couple of time but not sure...do they have a opening date in mind? Their website doesn't have anything.

Not sure, stoneoak. I'll drive by on my break from work and check it out. I remember my parents ate there, at Ciel, and they rather enjoyed it. I never really had the time or desire to eat there. Did you eat there?

I never did. Stopped in once, doors were open but there wasn't a soul around. Couldn't tell if they were open for lunch or not. Relatives with me weren't too excited by the menu anyway, so we left.

That is such a strange building and I always thought it was a big mistake to build restaurants that can't be seen from the road, or even the parking lot. Just odd.

I think the point was to make it a bit more of an "artsy", boutique restaurant. It looks cool, after all. I'll let you know what I find when I pass by later tonight.

Oooooh, good answers, pobre! I was too tired to drive last night when I went on break. Think I'll be too tired tonight, as well. Oh, well.

The restaurants were part of the Vatel family. They currently run Bistro Vatel in Olmos Park, as well as Cafe des Artistes in San Antonio Museum of Art. They still have a link on their website to the "retail center" at Plaza Ciel. Perhaps they are considering reopening with a new concept?
