They better watch that one. Given they got busted by the kitchen cops and the three expensive meals I had there weren't that spectacular - they might go under also.

Nothing like seeing the flies chow down on the fancy cheese plate that was sitting around.

We've crossed them off the list.

Yes, they did have a poor score (40 demerits). According to the article, they fixed many violations on the spot.
The restaurant has recently announced that it received AAA Four Diamond award so it seems as though it must have cleaned up its act. They are offering a glimpse into the kitchen with a Bouillabaisse class, which is part of French Cultures Festival.
I have friends who have dined there since the arrival of the new chef and they have been very pleased. I am thinking about trying it out again.

I totally agree. New chef, new way to running things... Pavil is better now than it's ever been. I've eaten there over a dozen times and my last visit (2 weeks ago) was the best I've had yet.

AAA Diamonds aren't Michelin Stars, but they're not too shabby either. It's good to know that Pavil is redeeming itself and cleaned up their act.

I'll wait a bit and see if they are stable before I drop another $120 experimentally.

brasserie pavil is much better with the new chef. after a couple of disappointing meals before his arrival, we pretty much threw in the towel. much better now though--perhaps even better than it was originally.

I'm not sure this place is new, but looks like another best burger contender

There is something going up in The Landmark area off 10/1604. Not sure if it's the other 54th Street Grill & Bar location, I know 2 are opening in San Antonio, and we already know one is at 1604/Culebra, but I haven't seen a mention of where the second location will be.
