Is this a division of Las Palapas or a new venture entirely? I Googled them but cannot find anything the location at 410/Broadway.

I hope they've changed the staff; I had been to this location when it was Las Palapas and customer service and food quality was beyond horrible.

I could not find the article on EN saying they were closed. I went over to the EZ's website and both locations were still mentioned.

edit. I just looked at an actual copy of the express news and it sure does say they are closed.

I've been seeing the Rally's / Checkers commercials too.
Last time I remember seeing a Rally's in S.A. was in the early 90's; I think there was one on Perrin Beitel.

I noticed that yesterday too, probably haven't been to that location since the one on walzem opened though.

The LP on Bandera and 1604 had this happen a few years ago. The food tasted the exact same when I went back and ate at the rebranded location. Mia's Mexican Grill is the new name now.

I thought Ralley's/Checkers is part of the Carl Jrs family?

That was back in the 90's. Carl's Jr. bought Rally's in 1996, sold them to Checkers in 1999, and now they're privately held.

All I know, is that location was Las Palapas last week, and it is La Parroquia today. I saw crews at the restaurant yesterday (Las Palapas is closed Sundays), in the process of re-doing the place, and changing out the signage.

I never ate at that Las Palapas location (and haven't eaten at any Las Palapas in several years), but they rarely seemed busy. Usually just police cars in the parking lot, probably because uniformed LEOs could eat free there!

This location just opened this past Friday (7/10/15). Had the three finger combo (I think that is what it is called) and it was good.
