They were boarded up and shut down. No surprise...they were always dead.
Wonder if they all shut down?
Dickey's website shows Park North (Blanco @ 410) as the only remaining San Antonio location.

I understood Dickey's BBQ to be independently-owned & operated franchises. Never tried them myself. The reviews I heard from others were mixed.

Haven't looked in that direction in a while, but did the one on Culebra outside of 1604 close?
I went once and that's all I needed to never go back. Granted they claimed to have had two call ins that day, still. Manager didn't inform anyone of the situation, stood in line for 20 minutes, and the food was sub-par.

Now that Smokey Mo's is over here, no need to go to Dickey's.

Yes, the Dickey's on Culebra closed several months ago. Never tried it, never anyone there.

It's been closed for over a month and the last time I was there it was awful, surprised it lasted so long.

Sadly it took longer to build it than if was open, never made there but it always seemed empty.

People would rather go to Bill Miller here. Never made it to Dickeys. Not sure how it compared.

We are better off as a city to not have Dickey's.

I live in Alamo Ranch, went there once, food was terrible, decided never to return. I had been to the Bandera/Eckert one once, in 2011 and it was fine. I had coupons for a couple free items a Smokey Mo's, had heard about them online someplace but had never seen one. I enjoyed my breakfast taco and free meat (I chose brisket). I recommend them based on these 2 items.

Went to Dickeys on Bandera/ Eckert numerous times. If you like over priced pulled meat, it probably would have been yer cup a tea. If it wasn't for the different sauces though, you could have been eating cardboard. I was never impressed and only went cause we could get in and out quick- no lines, ever. About the best description I could give about it is that it was bland. It made Bill Millers seem like a feast. I'm not surprised they closed.
