^Not a rumor, they have a sign on the building. They need to change their name though.

Is Smashburger better than Five Guys, or are they about the same? I noticed we are getting a Smashburger over here at Potranco/151.

It's a more comfortable setting with booths and subdued lighting. Five Guys is a brightly-lighted rectangular space stuffed with as many tables and chairs that could fit in that space.

IIRC, Smashburger is also more expensive than Five Guys and has a broader menu.

Never been to five guys, but Smashburger is good. But contrary to previous posts, it's not as good as Chris Madrids,
Bracken Cafe, Chesters, Big Bob's, or a few other local burger joints..IMO...

IHOP Express will open in Stone Oak early next year. It will be the second in San Antonio. The first recently opened at McCreless Market.

It is similar to an IHOP Cafe (NW Military at West, Downtown), but a bit larger.

It is exciting to see IHOP test their new concepts here in San Antonio.

Default good burgers

I had a burger in st louis at a place call Culver's (custards?).
I was happy to see there is one over on De zavala and 10.
They are a upscale fast food place with great deserts.

Mushroom swiss and chedar burgers are really big, hot, and good...good fries.

Oh they also had a Fast Freddy's Steak burger...Not as good as a culvers

I'll try the chicken sandwich next time but I couldn't resist the burger today. Simple toppings, very fresh, and oh so good.
You have got to be kidding me. Smash Burger better than Chris Madrid's? NOT!!

It's Culver's and they are really good. There is a location in Kerrville and Austin, as well. I have never had a bad burger there and they are very filling, the fries are crinkle-cut and always served piping hot.

That's my opinion. The last couple of times I've been to Chris Madrid's it was gritty-tasting and way too greasy. So, yeah, that's my opinion. I ain't baggin' on yours. I think CM's is a tad over-rated anyway. I'm not saying it's bad, just not as good as it used to be.
