That ham chipotle panini sounds delicious. Thats sad to see such a good restaurant succumb to the economy if that is the reason for its closing.

This one surprises me, it is always crowded for lunch and since the inception of the Farmer's market and other activity at the Pearl, it seems busier in general.

Last week we went to Cafe des Artistes on the Riverwalk, behind the San Antonio Museum of Art. I had the tuna tartare salad plate which was incredible! I've been dreaming of going back ever since. It's generally open only for lunch, and on Tuesday nights, to coincide with the museum's hours.

My understanding is that Texas Farm to Table at Pearl is moving to another location within Pearl.

Also, read between the lines-
“Thanks so much for all of your support,” owner Brian Mongtomery writes. “I love you all! Don’t worry though … I’ll be back soon, I promise. In the meantime, I will keep the food good, I promise! ”
