Went Saturday night. Delicious food, great waitstaff, reasonably priced drinks and nice sized, flavorful portions.

Winestyles a few shops down was hosting live music, perfect as we were on the patio.

Were able to spend a nice 3 hour dinner in a lovely (besides the parked cars
)atmosphere. Park benches, potted plants and fountains flank the patio.

When there was nearly nothing at 1604 and Blanco, this seemed like a good location....now, not so much.

What's moving into the Tom's Ribs on NW Loop 410? Drove by there this morning on my way to work but I couldn't make out the Coming Soon sign from the highway. Anyone know?

Tried this weekend and it was good, went sat morning around 11am. They have the buffet for $6.99 from 10am to 12pm on saturdays, and the drinks are only 89 cents.

The ribs were good, the sirloin steak was not bad, and they have barbocoa and tortas. I liked it a lot and plan on going back.

I tried Zorro's. Blech. I was not impressed at all. Maybe since I went on a Friday night (seafood night) during Lent I was just asking for it. Not their fault it was so crowded, but for the basic things like Sweet n Low for my tea, forget it! My meal was almost finished before I ever got any. They have a strange "pay here, then herd yourself over here to wait for a table" thing going on as well. Trouble is, you're bunched up with the comers and the goers. It was just weird to me.

I will say their green beans are the shiznit, but other than that, I had nothing that I couldn't make way better at home.

It is a independent sea food joint, I believe it is Bubba's Sea Food (but don't quote me). It would have been a good location for a Sea Island.

A side note, about 4 years ago I was in the Whataburger drive through next to that location..and there were 2 rats (not mice) playing in the landscape between the Whataburger and Tom Ribs...during the day time. I notified the manager of the Whataburger and she just said, THey come from Tom's Ribs...we have called the health inspector on them several times.
